This long parrying shield, collected in 1958, is used to deflect spears and boomerangs and shows lots of signs of use all over the face including what appear to be spear holes. The shield is extremely heavy and is probably made from mulga wood or a similar dense wood. Size overall is 34" * 3 1/2"
