Good example of a Central Australian spear throwing stick or woomera. This piece was bought from the Walpiri people in 1967 and has been extensively used as can be seen by the wear and grime on the grip. The woomera has been hand cut and covered in ochre and the pin is bound with kangaroo sinew with a natural resin used on the holding end. Overall size is of this long woomera is 34" * 4"
