A good ebony club sword collected in the Trobriand Islands in the late 1950's. Ebony as a wood for carving had essentially disappeared from the islands by the 1970's.The condition of this piece is very good except for a few barely noticable hairline cracks and a few small areas of missing lime infill as can be seen. Length overall is 23 1/2" by 2 1/2" wide.
